Methods Hub (beta)

Submit

Submitting your method or tutorial to the GESIS Methods Hub is a great way to make it available to a wider audience and gives you the opportunity to make it reusable and citable in a standardised and reliable way. While your method may be published somewhere else already, when published here, it will receive a DOI, be indexed by major search engines, and findable in scholarly databases, including GESIS Search. Potential users of your method can not only discover it via the GESIS Methods Hub and know that it follows our quality criteria but even test it directly in an interactive computing environment.

Method or Tutorial?

First, you will have to determine, whether your contribution is a method or a tutorial in the scope of the GESIS Methods Hub.

A method in the Methods Hub is a computational procedure that can be employed to address social science problems. It is published in a code repository, encompassing scripts, packages, libraries, or notebooks and follows our guidelines–most importantly being reusable, free, and open source software (FOSS).

A tutorial in the Methods Hub is a written, recorded and/or interactive introduction to a workflow, tool, or one or more methods. It is documented in a code repository, e.g., as a Jupyter Notebook or Quarto document.
